Exhibition production is one of MTAB’s core areas of expertise and includes the production, construction and installation of exhibitions and spatial environments for museums and cultural institutions. With extensive experience, our own workshop and strong technical competence, we create durable and well-functioning exhibitions from initial concept to finished experience.
Comprehensive solutions for museum exhibitions
Producing an exhibition requires close interaction between content, design and technology. Within exhibition production, MTAB works across the entire process – from planning and construction to assembly and final installation on site. Our experience of museum and exhibition environments gives us a strong understanding of the demands placed on function, safety and expression.
We work closely with museums, producers and designers, tailoring each solution to the exhibition’s purpose, spatial conditions and the visitor experience.

In-house workshop and technical expertise
A central part of this area of expertise is our in-house workshop, where we produce display cases, plinths, walls, scenography and custom-built constructions for exhibitions. By combining craftsmanship with technical knowledge and project management, we are able to take responsibility for both large-scale environments and more complex details.
We develop solutions that are durable over time and adapted for both permanent and temporary exhibitions – including travelling exhibitions that place specific demands on flexibility and handling.
Production, installation and ongoing collaboration
MTAB’s teams are responsible for on-site assembly and installation, carried out with great precision and respect for both objects and environments. For exhibitions that continue to tour, we work closely with our Fine Art colleagues on packing, transport and installation, both across the Nordic region and internationally.
